About our Team
About the Role
Account Manager is responsible for managing the subscription renewal base of our institutional business across the tertiary education sector. This role is responsible for developing a professional network across key accounts.
**Responsibilities**:
- Fostering customer relationships for Elsevier's digital solutions to boost sales revenue sustainably
- Building relationships with current and potential key accounts
- Qualifying cross and up-selling opportunities to existing accounts
- Providing in-depth usage analytics to customers as required
- Managing a strategic and direct sales process in a professional and self-directed manner
- Utilizing sales methodology tools like Franklin Covey and Miller Heiman for strategic account planning
- Ensuring Salesforce data compliance in line with standard business requirements
- Providing continuous market feedback to internal teams to support delivery and development of key business initiatives and objectives.
**Requirements**:
- Have a proven track record in achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Be able to prospect, value-sell, negotiate, and close deals successfully
- Have excellent organisational and planning skills
- Possess exceptional business acumen and analytical skills
- Have experience in consultative/value/solution-selling in complex sales processes
- Have excellent communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
- Know the health and/or academic markets well
- Have a reputable university education in Science, Healthcare, and/or Technology fields.
- Be a self-starter able to show initiative, enthusiasm, and an action-oriented mentality
- Have a high level of customer focus and integrity
- Be a collaborative team player with a focus on the big picture
- Build quick rapport, credibility, and trust with diverse customers and colleagues at all levels
- Have experience working in an international matrix organisation (advantageous)
- Be experienced with Salesforce or similar CRM systems
- Fluency (verbal and written) in English.
