We are a co-educational, comprehensive Catholic secondary school in the Diocese of Parramatta, catering for students across Years 7 to 12. **The Role**

As an experienced and exceptional classroom practitioner, you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with diverse learning needs. You will support identified students in Years 7-12 within an individual and group context.

The successful applicant will demonstrate;
- highly developed interpersonal skills with an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff
- exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective pedagogies
- proven capacity to differentiate the curriculum for a diverse range of abilities
- ability to set effective learning goals with students
- high levels of organisation and time management skills
- an ongoing commitment to professional development
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
- a commitment to Catholic Education and a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic Schools.
- facilitate and assist with transition for students with diverse learning needs
- ensure that accurate and comprehensive information is available to all staff about students with additional needs in a timely and easily accessible manner
- develop and document Personalised Plans (PPs)
- develop Safety and Behaviour Plans for students if necessary
- participate in the NCCD Moderation process

**You will have attained**:

- eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- employee ID registration number with Parramatta Catholic Schools or a commitment to Registration to Teach in CSPD schools.

The desirable applicant will demonstrate a commitment to:

- a willingness to engage with research based intervention strategies in a variety of learning environments
- tracking student progress in literacy and numeracy with data, in order to work with teachers to develop their understanding of diverse learning needs.
- working collaboratively with staff to cater for diverse learning needs.
- an understanding of personalised planning for students with disability.
