We are seeking a **Finance Analyst** to join our growing team in **Sydney**. Based in our stunning Barangaroo (Millers Point) offices. This full-time role is ideal for a first mover (big 4 or mid-tier), with a passion for process improvement, innovation, and collaboration. The role is highly analytical with a focus on commercial outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities**

**Financial Reporting & Analysis**
- Prepare monthly financial and management reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc financial analysis, including analytical review of internal and external accounting documents.
- Perform budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and provide commentary to support business insights.
- Deliver data-driven insights through analysis of large datasets to support project outcomes.

**Business Partnering & Stakeholder Collaboration**
- Provide commercial support to department heads, monitor key performance metrics, and perform ad hoc analysis as required.
- Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business to enhance financial understanding and performance.
- Partner with different business units to provide financial guidance on various projects.

**Process Improvement & System Implementation**
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in finance processes to support operational efficiencies.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the new D365 finance system (scheduled for Q2 2025).
- Collaborate with the finance team to establish and achieve annual strategies and objectives.

**Financial Modeling & Commercial Analysis**
- Develop and refine financial models for new business projects and ongoing management accounting.
- Support business units in strategic decision-making through robust commercial analysis.

**Qualifications**
- CA or equivalent professional certification.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a senior finance role, big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm trained
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in financial management software and systems, including advanced Excel skills
- You will have a positive, proactive nature to your work, and a desire to contribute to a supportive and forward-thinking team
