**What You Will Be Doing**

The Education Stream Leader - Women’s and Children’s is responsible for developing and implementing key strategies to enhance the clinical capability of the midwifery, neonatal and paediatric workforce to deliver great patient outcomes. The position is of clinical and educational leadership and collaborates with the Director, Education and Training, and key internal and external stakeholders, to optimise clinical standards, mitigate clinical risk, support professional standards, and promote and enhance education and research within the clinical program area.

In collaboration and consultation with the Education Leadership team, the Education Stream Leader - Women’s and Children’s leads the Women’s and Children’s Educator team to plan, implement, deliver and evaluate learning programs based on local and organisational strategic objectives. The Education Stream Leader is accountable for the support, management and performance of the designated clinical education staff within the Women’s and Children’s education stream.

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Registered Nurse or Midwife
- Post-Graduate qualification in education, health, management or relevant field
- Extensive clinical experience in relevant area (women’s and children’s), at a senior level working with a diverse workforce and inter-professional team
- Experience and expertise within practice development/education roles
- Demonstrated leadership with the ability to inspire, influence and motivate staff to contribute to and foster a positive learning culture
- Advanced interpersonal skills, including oral and written communication, leadership and conflict management, in order to facilitate effective team functioning
- High level IT skills, including proficiency with video conferencing, development of electronic learning materials, Microsoft Word and Excel
