Primary Electrical Designer/drafter

UGL's utilities business undertakes essential design & construction services for critical infrastructure in the power and water sectors. Our end-to-end delivery ranges from transmission lines, switchyards, substations, electrical distribution through to water and wastewater treatment plants and water pipelines.

Our expertise includes the design, construct, commission, operate and maintain where our Utilities Team safely leads and delivers design & construct projects across Australia. Our project delivery extends to include short and long-term contracts either through self-performance works, working with Sub-contractors or through Joint Ventures. Our work spans from the engineering design through to structural, civil, electrical installation works and commissioning.

**About the role**

The Electrical Design Drafter - Primary will provide electrical drawings in accordance to the Quality Management System and lead and deliver quality, standard compliant engineering/drafting documentation. The position can be based in either of our Sydney, Brisbane or Perth offices.
- Produce timely, relevant, meaningful and consistent design service deliverables, including; design packets; enquiry and complaint responses for internal and external stakeholders and customers; project & program scoping; estimates; feasibility assessments & reports.
- Implement governance over the delivery of design services to ensure that the works are undertaken within the constraints specified by Asset Planning and Performance.
- Deliver designs that are efficient to construct recognizing that the design process directly drives construction costs.

- Relevant Tertiary Qualification, Diploma status in engineering or reputable certificates in drafting
- Familiarity with AS1100 drafting standards.
- Contribute to a complete and integrated set of digital project content including documents by working co-operatively with team members.
