About the role

We are seeking a values-driven Store Assistant that will provide customer service, accomplish retail sales and maintain floor stock of the Family Store in line with TSA mission & values. This role will also be responsible for opening/closing procedures from time to time.

You will successfully
- Serve customers in the store, in ensuring they have a good experience and are assisted in their purchases.
- Promote TSA mission and services where appropriate
- Keep the store properly stocked and well presented
- Complete the opening & closing process in a timely & accurate manner
- Performs all duties in a safe manner, ensuring the safety and well-being of self and others
- Understands and adheres to Work Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Escalates issues when these are identified
- Takes responsibility and is accountable for own actions in line with TSA policies and procedures
- Completes tasks within requirements
- Shows care and respect in the efficient use of TSA funds, property, equipment and resources
- Captures and shares relevant information
- Understands and utilises information, communication and document control policies and systems, and security protocols

This is a Casual role based in Long Jetty Corps. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the General Retail Industry Award Level 3.

You will have
- 1 year experience in retail and/or customer service
- Proven experience in the recycling/transport industry a desirable
- Self motivated and a strong work ethic
- Sound presentation and communication skills (both oral and written) to be able to interact and network positively with a variety of people
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively
- Team player, flexible with a positive attitude
- A national police record check is required
