Looking for a career in Civil Construction? Shadforth Civil in partnership with Construction Skills QLD (CSQ) will be launching a Civil Ready Training Program. This program is aimed at providing new entrants in the civil construction industry, the necessary skills and knowledge to build a successful Civil Construction career.

**Program Overview**:

- 3 weeks unpaid classroom / offsite theory and practical skills training, based at our training centre in Narangba. Learn what is required to work on a Civil project site and assess you own suitability to meet the industry working needs.
- Gain an understanding of the civil industry requirements, standards and terminology used.
- Understand the high-risk natured works undertaken on civil project sites and how to work safely around heavy machinery, from the moment you commence on site.
- Learn the importance of safe work methods needed to perform your work safely, and to the required standards needed.
- Learn how to identify potential hazards onsite, perform risk assessments, implement control measures to minimise the risk from identified hazards.
- Completion of 5 nationally recognised units of competency from the resource industry training package including industry white card, WHS, Basic tool use etc.
- Learn valuable life skills including basic budgeting, resume construction and employability skills, personal health and wellbeing, and industry career pathways.

**Eligibility**
- be passionate about joining an industry where they can build their future and be provided with career pathways.
- be available to work across the industry standard hours of 6.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and ½ day Saturdays where projects require.
- Must have their own reliable transport and Manual driver’s licence.
- must not hold previous qualifications in Civil construction.
