Western Health is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Clinician to join the Mental Health and AOD (MHAOD) Outreach Service.

The MHAOD Outreach Service is a multidisciplinary team that provides coordinated follow up support for up to six weeks to consumers who present to the Sunshine Hospital Emergency Department with mental health and/or AOD care needs.

The service provides short term support and intervention, including connection and handover to community services, in order to reduce the likelihood of a future emergency department presentation.

The role of AOD Clinicians within the team is to provide AOD assessments and counselling interventions and linkages to the AOD sector.

**To be Successful in this Role, you will**:

- Hold appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant health or welfare discipline and current registration with AHPRA (for social workers, eligibility for membership of AASW)
- Demonstrate experience in undertaking AOD assessments and providing AOD interventions in a community setting
- Display a passion for and experience in providing high quality patient centred care
- Have excellent interpersonal communication and interpersonal skills
- Possess a sense of calm and stability in a dynamic and developing clinical setting
