English Teacher

Berlitz is a global language training school with over 400 branches in 70 countries. First established in USA in 1878, Berlitz has been providing courses to generations of people looking to learn English and many other languages.

Berlitz Australia is now seeking to hire a freelance/contractor Private ESL Tutor in Brisbane who is able to provide in-person lessons at the home residence of a client located in the southern suburb of Carindale. The student is a young child of primary school age, 6-9 years old, who has recently arrived in Brisbane with her family from South America.
- Must have a native level of English language skills.
- Experience teaching young children of this age.
- Must have a Working With Children Check as required in Queensland, or be willing to obtain one before commencing lessons.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect and establish a rapport with young children.
- Conduct an enthusiastic and energetic lesson that helps to keep a young learner motivated and keen to learn, especially for lessons held after school.
- Must have own car or can drive to the address location, or reliably use public transportation if living nearby the lesson location.

Other Details:
Lessons will be held at least twice each week for approximately 45 minutes to one hour per day (tutor will be paid for one full teaching hour).

Lessons will be held after school hours, anytime from 4pm onwards. Choice of which days is flexible by mutual agreement.

Payment is made fortnightly. Tutor must have their own ABN or be willing to get one as payments for tutoring are made in full after submitting your invoice.
