We have an opening for a Purchasing/ Inventory Officer, responsible for the stock management and report analysis. This position will play an integral role in providing excellent service to not only our external customers but across the broader business.

The purchasing/ inventory officer will be a part of the administration team based in Campbelltown Sydney working closely with sales and warehouse team.

**Tasks**
- Ensuring levels of stock are available to meet sales and customer delivery requirements;
- Collaborate with colleagues to exchange information such as upcoming market requirements;
- Contact new and existing suppliers to discuss their products and explore alternative options and pricing;
- Identify prospective suppliers by using business directories, social media platforms, following leads from existing customers, participating in organisations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences;
- Maintain supplier records, including updating of vendor price books using TIMMSAnywhere software;
- Negotiate prices and terms of purchases within company policies;
- Prepare and process purchase orders within company policies;
- Receipting goods, checking deliveries, matching delivery dockets and entering stock into TIMMSAnywhere database;
- Provide support and investigate discrepancies for invoicing and return of stock processes;
- Carrying out internal warehouse audits
- Facilitating product certification and chain of custody requirements;
**Qualifications and requirements**
- Previous experience in a similar role (bonus if in TIMBER) ;
- Ability to work within in high pressure multi taking environment, meeting dealings and having the ability to prioritise;
- A strong attention to detail, accuracy and a high standard of work;
- Ability to be aware of others’ reactions and understand why they react as they do;
- Exceptional computer literacy skills, utilising MS Office software;
- A positive attitude and hands on approach to work.

**Salary**: $51,130.53 - $89,122.85 per year
