The Community & Youth Team provide a range of targeted early intervention and social inclusion programs that encourage peer support, civic responsibility and a sense of belonging. - The Junction Works _now has an opportunity for an experienced and passionate **Community, Youth & Children’s Services Officer **to join the team.
Reporting to the Senior Community and Youth Officer, this pivotal role will see you responsible for developing and delivering funded projects targeting children, young people and families across the Liverpool, Campbelltown, Fairfield & Canterbury-Bankstown local government areas.
This role will see you provide comprehensive case management or counselling services for children, young people, adults and families. The case management/counselling service takes a strengths-based approach, using holistic assessments, case planning, advocacy and support methods to achieve a range of goals. This role also includes facilitating a range of workshops, events and social inclusion programs at schools and for community members.
**More specifically, some of your key duties will include (but are not be limited to)**:

- Managing a case load of clients for case management/counselling, including identifying needs and strengths for clients.
- Work with and support community members, children, young people, and families in the following areas: behavioural issues, homelessness, mental health, emotional issues, family breakdown, employment and more.
- Deliver relevant programs and services for children, young people and community members using a model of best practice that meets the needs of community/disability program requirements and individuals.
- Actively build and promote family relationships and community networks to ensure optimum engagement for young people.
- Planning, developing and facilitating skill development workshops and other social inclusion programs to school students and community members.
- The chance to propose and develop new program ideas.
- Prior experience is desirable but not required, as training will be provided to the right person for the job

**About You**:

- The Junction Works _is seeking a qualified Youth Worker, graduated Social Worker or other relevant discipline. Crucially, you will bring demonstrated knowledge of/exposure to youth and community services to the team, and a passion for supporting everyone involved
