**Salary Classification**: Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2, Year 1 - Year 2.
**Remuneration**: $66.50 - $67.83 per hour + superannuation + annual leave loading + salary packaging options + RDO's.

**THE ROLE**:
**DUTIES**:
Provides leadership in the ongoing review of clinical research practice at Calvary Mater Newcastle or area health service level as required
Provides an expert client-centred research consultancy practice participating in direct patient care provision.
Provides education on complex clinical research issues to clients, carers and relevant staff
Identifies and adopts innovative clinical practice models eg. Implementation and evaluation of new treatments, technologies and therapeutic techniques relating to clinical trials
Ensures all trials selected by the medical oncology team have been through the required Medical Oncology selection process that ensures trial is safe, relevant and in best interest of our patients.
Participates in formal and informal education programs within CMN and to external support groups or service providers
Collaborates with others in the development and delivery of education programs.

**ABOUT YOU**:
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Nursing, Science, Allied Health or related discipline.
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage a complex team to deliver outcomes.
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Previous experience in clinical trials environment at a senior level and demonstrated understanding of all facets of feasibility assessment for proposed trials and management of trials across the spectrum of First in Human to Phase 4.
Demonstrated high level effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated ability to work proficiently in periods of high demand and activity.
Demonstrated computer literacy, including use of databases, spreadsheets, and word processing packages.
