About the School
Northgate State School provides a quality education in a caring and supportive environment. With a strong focus on the basics of literacy and numeracy, combined with the most up to date and professional knowledge, our aim is to provide an engaging and relevant curriculum which prepares our students, not only for their years ahead of schooling but for their future. With an enrolment of 340 students, our school is large enough to ensure that we have the resources and facilities to cater for the learning needs of our students, but we are small enough that we are able to provide a family atmosphere and care for the individual - a personalised approach.
About the Role
As the Principal, you will have responsibility for the following:
- Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on
- providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
- Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
- Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
- Set high standards for student and staff performance.
- Active participants in life long learning and ongoing professional development.
- Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry and business.
- Futures oriented and strategic.
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling.
- Manage resources to achieve goals.
