About the Role
As an Associate Director Regulatory Risk Management in our Team, you’ll play a key role in helping to provide first line governance for the operational teams managing transaction reporting to regulators and its associated controls, such as reconciliations. You will help the business make informed, risk-based commercial and operational decisions in a timely manner and within a regulated environment. **Work Hours**: Full Time
What will your day look like?
In the role, you’ll primarily be responsible for helping the teams to manage risk and operate in a compliant manner by providing appropriate oversight and governance of operational risk deliverables. Key responsibilities will be:
- Managing governance forums to ensure that operational and compliance issues are reviewed, compliance impacts agreed and ensuring that any regulatory notifications are complete.
- Identifying and assessing operational and compliance risks and helping to mitigate their impacts.
- Working with the operational teams to review issues, incidents and statistical reporting to help diagnose root causes to aid remediation and improve business processes.
- Ensuring stakeholder transparency on risks and issues, through the appropriate use and publishing of KRIs and other MIS.
- Managing regulator inquiries, issues, and treatment plans.
- Ensuring appropriate policies and procedures are in place.
What will you bring?
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- Proven experience of risk management.
- Experience of assessing risks in a data reporting environment: this could cover data reporting, high-volume transaction flows; data flows and aggregation within and between systems.
- Experience of helping developing metrics for reporting and their associated monitoring and controls.
- Demonstrable attention to detail, with a strong ability to execute and persistence to ensure that issues are followed up and closed out.
- Experience in financial markets, with a broad understanding of how a markets division operates.
- Regulatory experience is helpful but not essential.
You’re not expected to have 100% of these skills. At ANZ a growth mindset is at the heart of our culture, so if you have most of these things in your toolbox, we’d love to hear from you.
So why join us?
From the moment you join ANZ, you'll be doing meaningful work that will shape a world where people and communities thrive.
But it's not just our customers who'll feel your impact. you'll feel it too. Because at ANZ, you'll have the resources, opportunities, and support you need to take the next big step in your career.
We're a diverse bunch at ANZ in different roles, different locations, doing different things. That's why we have a range of flexible working arrangements, so our people can 'make work, work for them'. We also provide a range of benefits including access to health and wellbeing services and discounts on selected products and services from ANZ and more.
