Moolarben Coal mine is Australia’s largest thermal coal producer and has both Underground and Open cut operations producing over 21 million tpa. It has over 800 employees with employees residing in the beautiful Mudgee area, with all the facilities for a fantastic family lifestyle.

**Job Tasks and Responsibilities**
- Reporting to the Environment and Community Superintendent, you will be responsible for:

- Assisting in maintaining environmental standards and compliance, in addition to assisting with maintaining community relations.
- Supporting the Environment & Community Superintendent in the development, implementation, and ongoing compliance of biodiversity and land management initiatives.
- Ensuring effective monitoring, maintenance, and reporting of biodiversity offsets, buffer land, and conservation programs while supporting regulatry compliance and environmental best practices.

**Skills and Experience**

**Esstential Criteria**:

- Teritary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering or equivalent.
- Commitment to environmental management.
- Technical knowledge of environmental impacts.
- Relevant experience in a similar role within the resources industry.
- Good project and contractor management experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to source and analyse data to facilitate management decision making.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders.
