**Lindsay Transport is currently seeking Forklift Drivers to join the team based in Gatton on a full time basis.**

**About the role**:
Forklift Drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of a forklift for the purposes of loading and unloading vehicles and moving freight to and from storage areas. They must ensure that trucks are loaded in accordance with the load sheet, all stabilisation equipment is used as required and fridge motor temperatures are set correctly and checked prior to vehicle departure.

**This role requires you to work every second Saturday.**

Duties you can expect with this role include:

- Operating controls to align forklifts and raise and lower forks to stack and unstack items in the warehouses
- Handling fresh produce and general freight in a busy terminal
- Ensuring goods are stored in correct areas so that they can be easily located when loading trailers
- Monitoring equipment operation visually through gauges and instruments and through computerised monitoring equipment
- Being mindful of equipment to identify wear and maintenance requirements
- Performing stock takes as required
- Primarily loading dry, fresh, refrigerated, frozen freight onto trailers for distribution

**About the requirements**:

- Have a valid Forklift Licence
- A current HR or HC licence will be highly regarded
- Be reliable, punctual and committed to the role
- Have clear communication and writing skills
- Have a can-do attitude
- Be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical check-up including a drug and alcohol test

Past experience in logistic, warehousing or transportation or experience pick packing fresh, frozen or chilled produce is well respected for this role but not a minimum requirement.
