**About the role**

Due to an internal promotion, we have an excellent personal and professional development opportunity to expand your leadership skills working on the Landing Helicopter Dock program based at the Garden Island Defence Base, Potts Point.

In this role you will support the Production Manager in safely delivering maintenance on your assigned platform (HMAS Adelaide or HMAS Canberra, or associated vessels). You will be responsible for day to day subcontractor performance and will provide leadership to the Subcontractor Coordinators ensuring improvement initiatives are developed and recognised.

**About you**

We are looking for an individual that is a motivated self-starter, with demonstrated ability to effectively manage and build key relationships with various stakeholders. You will be highly organised and have a passion for mentoring and coaching other employees within the business.

You will have prior experience in a similar production or maintenance related role and knowledge of the defence/ marine industry.
- To be successful, you will have:_
- Trade background or Degree\Diploma in Engineering (with equivalent experience)
- Suitable experience in a similar production related role preferably in maritime or defence
- Demonstrated ability to motivate, mentor and maintain morale of a team
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance
