**Your new role**

The Cyber Security Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Lead plays a vital role in protecting the departments digital landscape. Your role will focus on identifying and managing cyber risks by establishing good governance principles that align to cyber security frameworks. This also includes identifying and mitigating potential threats and vulnerabilities through the implementation of proactive measures. Your new role will require you to have exceptional communication skills as you will be liaising with key stakeholders, including senior management, IT leads, legal services and audit and risk committees to ensure cyber initiatives align to business objectives.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Extensive knowledge and experience implementing industry governance frameworks (e.g., SACSF, Essential 8, NIST, ISM) into the operations of an organisation.
- Extensive and contemporary knowledge of cyber security risk management and mitigation principles, standards and tools for identifying and mitigating security threats within a large, geographically dispersed and complex organisation, along with detailed knowledge of related government policies and procedures.
- Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills to provide clear and concise advice on cyber risks both verbally and in writing. Consult and negotiate successful outcomes and develop high level recommendations, documentation, and reports.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively in a team, under broad policy guidelines, and exercising significant levels of independent judgement and delegated authority to determine goals and priorities within the framework of the corporate objectives of the agency and ensure that the required standards of service and quality are met.

**Salary**

$106,512 - $115,137 + Superannuation
