HR Business Partner, Equities Globally, Macquarie
3 weeks ago
A unique opportunity has arisen for a driven and enthusiastic Human Resources professional to join Macquarie as a HR Business Partner in Macquarie’s Sydney office supporting our global Equities business within Macquarie Capital on a temporary basis for a 12 month leave cover.
Macquarie Capital provides advisory and capital raising services to corporate and government clients involved in public mergers and acquisitions, private treaty acquisitions and divestments, debt and equity fund raising and corporate restructuring. It also undertakes principal investing activities globally in support of its client activities.
Our Equities business is built on our local experience, access, and market intelligence to service global institutional clients with market-leading Asia-Pacific research, sales and execution, and provide Asia-Pacific corporates with access to global markets.
Working closely with the Global HR Director for Macquarie Capital and the broader global MacCap HR team, you will be responsible for formulating and delivering a people agenda that is aligned with the broader business strategy. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support to the global business, through owning business relationships (in particularly with the Asia Pac leadership team) to ensure regional input into developing group-wide HR practices and initiatives across Talent Management, Learning and Development, Employee Relations, Compensation & Benefits and Recruitment and Resourcing.
You will proactively meet with key stakeholders to build and develop effective advisory working relationships and ensure that an effective resource plan is maintained and delivered. You will participate in the delivery of end-to-end talent review processes, including embedding performance management culture and effectively diagnose the need for Employee Relations involvement when required. You will support aspects of the year-end remuneration and promotion processes whilst driving the execution of diversity strategies within the business group
You will have a successful track record and considerable experience in a generalist HR Business Partner role gained within Financial Services, ideally within Asia Pac. You will have demonstrated prior effectiveness in a highly matrixed, international environment with a pragmatic, delivery focused style. You will be required to have excellent verbal and written communications skills with a proven ability to influence senior management across the business and prior team management skills. This will appeal to someone who is seeking to take on accountability for a diverse range of HR activities with some strategic components whilst remaining actively engaged in the day-to-day delivery of HR services to engaged business leaders and teams.
If this sounds like you then we would love to hear from you
