ABOUT THE ROLE
**Key responsibilities include**:
Provide applicants expert advice on creative, financial, and production matters.
Liaise with industry stakeholders, offering guidance on funding programs and processes.
Prepare investment recommendations and reports for funding committees and the Board.
Collaborate with the Development team on project assessments, screenings, and post-production.
Monitor industry trends and contribute to the ongoing refinement of funding policies and strategies.
Support initiatives that promote Gender Equity and Diversity in the screen sector.
About you
You are an experienced screen industry professional with expertise in development, production, financing, or distribution across film, television, or online platforms.
**You bring**:
A strong understanding of the Australian and international screen industry, including key players, trends, and market dynamics.
Proven experience assessing scripts, budgets, and production plans.
Financial knowledge, including recoupment structures and monetisation strategies.
Excellent creative judgment, with the ability to evaluate ideas and provide constructive feedback.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills.
The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional communication and negotiation skills to represent Screen Australia effectively.
