Service Technician

**Job Summary**

An exciting opportunity awaits within the world's leading water technology company. Grundfos Pumps Australia are seeking the skills of a talented electrically qualified Service Technician to join our friendly, inclusive, and highly inspirational Service Delivery team, based in our Mulgrave office in Melbourne serving our customers throughout Victoria.
- Assessment of risks of tasks prior to commencement of works
- Report matters related to Safety, Health, and Environmen
- Disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair and replace parts, reassemble pumps, pump systems, and accessories both in the Workshop, and in-field
- Commissioning and assessment of variable speed propels and motor interfacing and monitoring systems
- Utilising App and tablet-based reporting technology to complete tasks, and create lead generation information to internal sales teams, which in turn promotes service growth
- Advising customers about shortcomings in the total system, which can prevent future problems and offer a solution to these potential issues
- Assist their manager by identifying and providing solutions for service and warranty matters.
- Signs off on electrical works undertaken or supervised
- On complex issues, consult with our specialist in-house technical support staff
- Prepare clear and complete service reports and ensure that these are submitted on time and as per the company requirements and format (such as warranty claims, working hours, sales lead generation, fault analysis reports)
- Register the identified product quality issues in the company systems.
- Assist in project execution - installation support, commissioning, contractor engagement and arrangement as required
- Carry out works on site in conjunction with the sales orders and service agreements as applicable
- Provide feedback of relevant information to the respective stakeholders (sales, operations, customer service centre)
- Collects technical information from site for our equipment data base
- Continues learning and development to build up hands-on service capability and expertise.
- Masters the use of specialised service tools and equipment
- Works in conjunction with the Grundfos core values and takes responsibility for own actions in addition to looking out for colleagues, partners, and customers
- Be team focussed and communicate openly on all matters
- Travel to various parts of Victoria, and possibly others states on occasions may be required to undertake service-related tasks, or training
- As required, provide phone based technical support for various parties in conjunction with our Customer Service Team

The ideal applicant will embody the following skills and experience attributes:

- Experience with electrical/mechanical systems or pumps and rotational equipment
- Should be a fully qualified Electrician in Victoria (or be able to obtain mutual recognition if holding one from interstate)
- Must have a full Australian recognised drivers’ licence
- 2 years of work experience in the industry or comparable environment
- Experience with pump technology, controls and variable speed is desired
- Experience using information platforms such as SAP is desired
- Ability to work with processes or projects within the service environment
- Fork-lift licence is advantageous, or the ability to obtain one
- First aid, LVR/CPR courses, or be prepared to undertake these once employment has commenced
