**Support Worker**

**About the role**:
Liberty Care are currently seeking enthusiastic and caring professional individuals to join our team of support workers, working across the organisation in our accommodation, community participation, and individualised in home support services.

This role would be suited to an individual who has a genuine passion to promote the independence and inclusion of people with a disability within the community and support skill development and participation, to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.

**Typical Duties may Include**:

- Supporting participant to develop and maintain independence
- Supporting participants with personal care.
- Undertaking various household tasks including cooking, cleaning, shopping, and other community access activities.
- Implement behaviour support plans aimed at supporting individuals who demonstrate challenging behaviours to achieve their goals.

**Essential Criteria**
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Current CPR Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of the NSW Disability Standards.
- Knowledge of WHS principles including safe manual handling procedures.
- Flexibility to work casual shifts on a 24/7 rotating roster - including morning, afternoon, active nights, sleepovers, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
- Flexibility to work across various locations throughout Sydney.
- A commitment to supporting and promoting the individual needs of the participant.
- The ability to develop positive relationships with participants and to support their individual care plans, as appropriate.

**Salary**: $35.00 - $50.00 per hour
