Cricket Manager North-west

WA Cricket is looking for someone who is passionate about driving cricket participation, in regional WA._

**About the Role**

This exciting role is all about championing the growth and sustainability of cricket across the North-West, including the vibrant Pilbara and Kimberley regions.

This is a full-time position reporting directly to the Area Manager Country.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and manage a service delivery strategy for the North-West, inclusive of the Pilbara and Kimberley regions.
- Engage with the North-West Regional Cricket Board on a regular basis to ensure an aligned strategic direction for all cricket across the North-West region.
- Build, maintain and leverage relationships with key North-West regional stakeholders including clubs, associations, schools/school ambassadors, state and local government, local media and local business to help plan and facilitate the delivery of school cricket programs and carnivals.
- Work to facilitate strong relationships between schools and clubs so there is a clear pathway into community cricket programs and competitions that are reflective of population, diversity and regional need.
- Provide leadership and management for both paid and unpaid resources required to support the delivery of cricket programs in schools and the communities across the North-West region and the Eastern Goldfields.
- Develop the optimal junior participation pathway for boys and girls across the North-West region, from Cricket Blast to Junior formats and into Senior Cricket.
- Connect clubs and associations with club development and volunteer management resources and activities to help build their capacity and provide quality cricket environments for all their members and participants.
- Work with the WA Cricket’s Country Coach and Talent Development Specialist in the coordination and delivery of coach development and accreditation programs as well providing optimal support to the development of identified talented cricketers through pathway programs and North-West regional academies.
- Work in partnership with these organisations and relevant WA Cricket Community Cricket Specialists to increase participation of young people in low participation groups across the North-West region.
- Promote and maximise the utilisation of Australian Cricket digital and technology platforms both internally and by clubs and associations.

**Who we are looking for**
- You have relevant experience in community sport development and program delivery
- You know how to connect, collaborate, and create impactful relationships.
- You’re adept at teaching or coaching kids, helping them learn and love sport.
- You can navigate school partnerships to bring cricket into classrooms and playgrounds.
- You understand how community clubs and associations operate and the challenges their volunteers face.
- You’re a pro at managing logistics, from planning to delivering impactful programs.
- You have a proven ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines
- You have a current and valid Working with Children Card
- You have a ‘C’ class driver’s license
