**About the role**

As the Station Assistant, you are integral to the success of V/Line’s Operational Group.

This is a great entry level role into V/Line where you will maintain the delivery of service to customers ensuring the provision of best possible train and coach services to V/Line passengers.

Key accountabilities include:

- Assisting in the overall presentation and cleaning of the station
- Oversee and ensure the safe operation of the coach interchange
- Passenger assistance
- Handling of lost property
- Regular inspection of the station to ensure standards are being maintained
- The role may include helping passengers with luggage, this may or may not include using a motorised device if suitably qualified

- Completion of secondary school education (minimum Year 10) with experience in customer service or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education / training
- Previous experience in customer service roles
- First Aid - Level 2 may be required
- Commitment to customer service
- Team focus
- Problem solver with strong communication skills
