An opportunity exists for a customer-focused, detail-driven individual to join our high performing Finance team as an Accounts Payable Officer. Reporting to the Team Lead - Accounts Payable, your key focus will be to maintain good supplier and employee relations through timely and accurate payments of invoices and entitlements as well as coordinating the accounts receivable function.This role is based in Cooma, NSW and Snowy Hydro supports flexible working arrangements and appreciates the additional value such arrangements can bring to our business and to our employees.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:
Maintaining a high level of accuracy while processing finance correspondence for the Snowy Hydro Group of companies, pay suppliers and staff

Managing the Accounts Payable inbox

Process daily payment (EFT) and weekly cheque runs

Reviewing reports and statements to identify and promptly act on outstanding invoices

Identifying and escalating ambiguous, difficult, or complex issues

Analysing and interpreting the reporting provided by our Finance Systems

Monitor Corporate Banking activities, reconcile and receipt daily transactions

Leading by example and continuously demonstrating behaviours consistent with the Snowy Hydro Values

Strong customer focus for both internal and external customers

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Strong commitment to process improvement

Experience in accounting, purchasing and reporting systems

Excellent time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks while working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

An ability to work effectively within a small team and a proactive approach to assisting the team to cover fluctuations in workloads when required
