**About the position**

In addition, the Junior HSEQ Superintendent will;
- Carry out internal ISM & ISPS audits and prepare timely audit reports;
- Ensure that company policies are enforced onboard and provide assistance with understanding and identifying the requirements of maritime laws and regulations. Evaluate practices, procedures, and assets to assess risks and adherence to CSL’s Safety Management System;
- Ensure that crew inductions and familiarization are performed in accordance with the requirements of CSL’s Safety Management System;
- Review and analyse vessels' minutes of safety meetings. In close collaboration with Technical Operations, address areas of concerns and provide recommendations to rectify issues;
- Assist in investigations, establish root cause analysis and produce investigation reports;
- Provide vessels support with reporting regulatory requirements;
- Provide assistance to the Masters onboard and crew in general for the safe operation of the vessel;
- Assist the HSEQ team with reviewing and closing of events, audits, and reports etc;
- Assist in compiling safety stats and provide trend analysis;
- Support the team with general HSEQ related administration tasks.

**About you**

- A minimum of 3 years in a safety role, preferable in the marine transportation and/or maritime industry sector; OR minimum 3 years in a Deck or Engineering Officer position;
- Demonstrated experience in and a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of safety including operational risk assessments, regulatory compliance and reporting;
- Good team player with excellent communication skills;
- Proficient computer skills & in-depth knowledge of MS Office;
- Well-developed interpersonal skills and effective people management skills;
- Good planning and organizational skills;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Able to prioritise workload;
- Process improvement mindset
