The Freight Manager will be responsible for managing the Inbound/Outbound operation across multiple sites.

Our client is seeking an experienced Freight Manager to join their Acacia Ridge Operations.

The Freight Manager will be responsible for managing the Inbound/Outbound operation across multiple sites.

**The role**:

- Allocate and organise freight for all deliveries and scrap collections, as per the customer delivery window. Arrange for any additional deliveries, scrap collections that may arise during the day.
- Receiving and answering customer queries in relation to freight and delivery
- Receive calls from drivers regarding site issues and resolve with the relevant site contact and/or customer.
- Communicate with drivers during the day to ensure that drivers are running on time and in accordance with NHVR, HVNL and COR guidelines.
- Ensure that all delivery/collection paperwork given to drivers has the correct map references and site conditions to ensure safe and on time delivery.
- Run through pre-start checks with the drivers at the start of each shift, make sure that the pre-start check list is filled in correctly and damages/issues are discussed with Operations Manager for resolution. Keep the whiteboard up to date with information regarding truck services and COI.
- Reorganising work due to driver absences.
- Manage any issues that arise with drivers regarding attendance, accidents, vehicle damage etc All incidents must be reported immediately to the Operations Manager for further action.

**About you**:

- Previous experience in a Logistics/Warehouse/Operations Manager role
- Background in Manufacturing or Distribution
- Advanced Excel skills
- MR License and Forklift License (Desirable)
- Continuous improvement experience
