**About us**

The Corrections and Justice Services (CJS) group, comprising Corrections Victoria, Justice Health and Justice Services, plays an integral role in developing safer and more resilient communities and in delivering a trusted justice and community safety system.

Corrections Victoria is responsible for the implementation of policies, programs and services that ensure the safe and secure containment of prisoners, and that seek to rehabilitate offenders by addressing the underlying causes of offending behaviour.

As part of the CJS group, the DPFC is a 568 bed medium to maximum-security facility for female offenders located within the West Metropolitan Region, Department of Justice.

DPFC operates a Needs Based Precinct model, with prisoners accommodated in precincts aligned to their identified needs. DPFC has two new buildings as part of its specialist Health and Wellbeing Precinct, dedicated to supporting prisoners with mental health, cognitive impairment, physical disabilities and complex needs.

**About the role**

This position will require direct prisoner contact and may involve weekend and public holiday work, remunerated in accordance with the applicable provision of the VPS Determination
- As part of the Offenders Services team, under direction, provide administrative support to the Offender Services Management Team which includes Offender Services Supervisor, Diversity Supervisor, Senior Family Engagement Worker, and Offender Services Manager. These tasks will include completing meeting minutes, collation of information and coordinating appointments for various Offender Services Programs areas
- Monitor, report and liaise with prisoners, administrators, and prison staff on relevant issues.
- Under direction, collect statistical information and/or written material, prepare reports and maintain an electronic filing system for prisoner program files.
- Maintain existing database and file entries for various Offender Services Programs areas.

***About you**

As the Justice Officer, you will:

- Provide administrative support and client services relevant to the location
- Provide reception and telephone responses for the location
- Demonstrate knowledge of, or experience in administrative practices within a corporate setting is desirable.

**How to apply**

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

Therefore, there is a requirement that all DJCS employees be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to undertake duties outside of their homes.

At interview stage and prior to commencement of employment with the department, you will need to provide evidence that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 with three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.

Upon commencement of employment with the department you will be required to provide evidence that you have an up-to-date vaccination status within the timelines specified by the department into the DJCS Service Portal. This includes evidence of three doses of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).

Acceptable evidence includes:

- COVID-19 digital certificate or ATAGI exemption certificate (available via your myGov account)
- Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)

Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
