Fresh Meats is the leading butchery on the Sunshine Coast. We service restaurants and clubs, schools, nursing homes and government facilities throughout South East Queensland. We operate to high standards of food safety and do not tolerate any drug use. We ensure full product traceability with industry-leading software. We seek a full time Butcher who is qualified for
- Selecting, cutting, trimming, preparing and arranging meat
- Removing bones, trimming fat and processing to customer specifications
- Crumbing, marinating, seasoning and curing cuts
- Selecting and preparing meat to produce smallgoods
- Operating machines to grind, mix, mince, tenderise, smoke meat or smallgoods
- Providing friendly and informative customer service and advice on meat cuts

Qualifications:

- Relevant AQF Certificate III + 2 years on-the-job experience; or
- AQF Certificate IV; or
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to communicate clearly in English

Skills and Attributes:

- Proficiency in food preparation and cutting, trimming, and grinding meats
- Ability to use hand tools, butchery equipment
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work in cold environments
- Knowledge of safety standards and sanitation
- Strong communication, task management, and customer service skills
- Commitment to teamwork with positivity, reliability and strong work ethic
