Contract Specialist - Gold Mining Company - Based Perth CBD
Contract Specialist for Gold mining client.

Based in Perth CBD and reporting to the Commercial Superintendent, the Contract Specialist will initiate, plan, review, draft and manage a portfolio of site materials and services agreements. This will include the tendering and administration of formal agreements with suppliers, support active consideration of the Company’s owner-mining model, maximise benefits of the site’s spend and attain value-added initiatives.

You will deliver specialised commercial support to the site team and their customers in consultation with other disciplines and stakeholders and foster partnerships with suppliers and contractors.

- Contract preparation
- Tendering
- Tender assessment
- Contract negotiation, analysis, liaison and management
- Strong operating & strategic planning ability
- Ability to meet tight deadlines
- Ability to engage internal & external stakeholders.

Knowledge:

- Proven understanding of the tender and evaluation process
- Thorough understanding of contracts and their components, including a sound knowledge of contract law and appropriate state and federal legislation, tax, and mining regulations.

**Experience**:

- Contract drafting and management experience
- Experience in contract management; tertiary law, business or commerce degree may be suitable in absence of experience
- Site experience in the mining industry
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
