**The Position**

- We are currently seeking enthusiastic and caring
- **Patient Care Assistants **to work as an integral multi-disciplinary team member in providing a high standard of care for patients in the areas of patient care, patient transport and overall support of the nursing care team as directed.

- Certificate III in Health Service Assistant (Client/Patient Services) or similar; or currently studying in a health related field at a tertiary level.
- Demonstrated well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision and ability to identify work priorities and plan to meet them.
- Demonstrate effectiveness in working in a team environment.
- Knowledge of principles of manual handling.
- Knowledge of basic cleanliness and hygiene standards.
- Food handling skills including hygiene standards.
- An understanding of and commitment to Quality Improvement.
- Awareness of current Occupational Safety & Health and Equal Employment Opportunity Legislation.
