ESS Defence has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic **Catering Supervisor** to join our team at Lone **Pine Barracks** in **Singleton. **We are looking for a highly motivated, flexible and experienced Chef to take the next step in their career

**The Position**:

- Support the Executive Chef in the day-to-day operations of the kitchen and catering team.
- Work with Executive Chef to ensure Other Ranks Mess ordering process is entered following correct procedures
- Lead a dedicated chef team to deliver high quality food, and guide kitchenhands and food & beverage staff to reach organisational goals.
- Organise and manage functions
- Ensure all company policies and procedures are adhered to
- Implementing and observing relevant safety and hygiene practices and compliance.

**The Person**:

- Qualified Chef - Cert 3 in Commercial Cookery
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Chef or catering supervisory role
- Knowledge of large scale cooking
- Strong awareness of hygiene and food safety standards, HACCP and have a broad knowledge of allergen safety.
- Enjoy a fast-paced and ever changing kitchen environment
- Attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Ability to motivate and promote team members to achieve exceptional customer service
