Animal Attendant

We’re on the lookout for a passionate, energetic animal-lover to join the team at **Ooohh Yeah Dog Care**

**Key Responsibilities**

You'll play a vital role in making our dogs feel safe, happy and loved every day. Duties include:

- Providing daily enrichment and exercise for our daycare and boarding guests
- Cleaning kennels, daycare areas and indoor spaces
- Feeding and basic grooming (washing/brushing)
- Monitoring animal health and wellbeing
- Supporting a clean, safe, and calm environment
- Greeting customers at drop-off with great service and a friendly smile
- Keeping dogs off all sizes safe while recording instagram stories
- multitasking

**About You**

You're motivated, reliable, and LOVE dogs - all kinds, all sizes To be a great fit, you should:

- Be available to start shifts from **7am**.
- Be flexible and able to cover shifts during **peak periods/school holidays**:

- Ideally have prior experience in a **dog daycare, vet clinic, kennels**:

- Be studying or certified in Animal Studies or Companion Animal Services (preferred but not essential)
- Have your own car/license or guaranteed transport
- Be a strong communicator who works well in a team and independently
- Work safely and follow procedures with attention to detail
- Be physically fit and ready for a hands-on, active job — indoors and outdoors, in all weather
- **Must be confident working around a mix of small and large dogs of all weight sizes and temperaments**:

- **Must be able to manage barking and stimulation levels calmly and effectively**
- You are **not fit and healthy** enough for an active, physical job
- You **don’t know how to use Instagram** (we post stories daily)
- You are **planning on going away soon** or over **Christmas holidays**:

- You live **more than 30 minutes away** from Alexandria
- If you are **not confident around dogs with different personalities**, **can’t manage energy levels**, or are **easily overwhelmed and can not manage barking**, **please do not apply**.

**Note**: You’ll need to be comfortable with lifting, walking, and handling dogs up to 50kg, and be on your feet for most of the day.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $23.23 - $35.82 per hour
