**Opportunity**
Our client is a federal government agency currently. They have a great opportunity for a Release Manager to join in a long-term contracting opportunity, and lead integration and system delivery on a large transformation program.
- 12 month initial contract + 12 month extension
- Richmond based role, with 2 days per week work-from-home
- Excellent daily rates negotiable

**The role**
As the Solution Architect, you will be responsible for the ongoing development of systems architecture blueprints for projects across finance domain, with specific focus on delivery of the service enhancement and digital transformation objectives. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Establish and maintain the Release Management processes in consultation with relevant Business stakeholders including third party suppliers
- Develop and maintain the Release schedule balancing technical dependencies and business requirements, compliance and other priorities
- Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews
- Co-ordinate the production of Release, Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans
- Liaise with delivery partners for system implementation - this will include internal teams, other government agencies, and commercial vendor teams
- Work with release engineers to understand impacts of branches and code merges
- Produce regular Release Reporting and represent the Release program and status in OCIO ICT Change Management activities and release planning
- Ensure all OCIO ICT Change Processes are followed including Cyber assessments, Penetration testing, go/no-go gates
- Co-ordinate the production of weekly Release Status Reports and review with the Director, Integration Systems Delivery and other relevant functions

**About you**
To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

- Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in establishing and managing Release Management processes in an enterprise business system context
- Enterprise-level experience in managing Releases and delivering systems based on contemporary platforms and architecures (eg Mulesoft and Salesforce ) including high level of integration to internal and external systems
- Proven experience in, and strong knowledge of, contemporary project management, software development/configuration, testing, system delivery, governance frameworks and methodologies
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry recognised qualifications in project management
- Agile/SAFe experience
- Previous experience in a similar role in Federal or State Government environments will be highly regarded
