**Job Description: Kitchen Hand at Stacked**

**Position Overview**:As a Kitchen Hand at Stacked, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen operations by assisting the cooking and preparation processes, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring a smooth flow of work. Your contributions will directly impact the quality and efficiency of our food preparation and overall customer experience.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- **Food Preparation Assistance**:Assist the kitchen team in preparing ingredients, including cutting, chopping, and portioning.

Support the Head Cook in the baking of bread and cookies, ensuring consistency and freshness.
- **Hygiene and Cleanliness**:Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces.

Dispose of waste and maintain proper waste separation practices.
- **Stock Management**:Assist in monitoring stock levels of ingredients, packaging, and other supplies.

Notify the team when supplies are running low to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- **Kitchen Maintenance**:Assist in setting up and breaking down the kitchen stations before and after service.

Help with the cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment as directed by the kitchen management.
- **Team Support**:Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflows and timely food preparation.

Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure a smooth handover of tasks and responsibilities.
- **Food Safety Practices**:Follow proper food safety and hygiene practices, including handwashing and wearing appropriate protective gear.

Assist in adhering to the Health & Safety and Audit standards set by the kitchen management.
- **Customer Service Support**:Contribute to providing excellent customer experiences by maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, which directly impacts food quality and overall ambiance.
- **Adherence to Procedures**:Comply with security and safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure environment for all staff and customers.

Assist in implementing necessary safety protocols.
- **Uniform and Presentation**:Maintain a neat and clean appearance by wearing the provided uniform according to the Stacked brand standards.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from the kitchen management team.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks that require bending and lifting.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $20.66 - $33.64 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
