**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **CaFHS **team as a** Social Worker, **where you will be responsible for:

- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to improve early identification, assessment, and care planning for families with complex needs and facing adversity.
- Provide individual counseling, advocacy, and support to parents facing challenges.
- Collaborate with caregivers and families to:

- Increase coping skills.
- Develop better problem-solving skills.
- Foster a positive outlook on their future.
- Help families understand where to seek resources and information in the future.
- Operate primarily from a CaFHS site while also working across regions, including Torrens House, a residential intensive program for mothers with babies experiencing feeding or settling issues.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification which gives eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
- Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating complex interventions including group work aimed at addressing psychosocial need in families with children aged 0 to 3 years.
- Proven experience in working with families utilising current research and knowledge about attachment, infant mental health and brain development and families who are experiencing psychosocial need
- Proven experience evaluating complex cases and utilising high-level counselling and/or case management practice skills
- Utilise advanced interpersonal and communication skills to foster productive working relationships across disciplines, contribute positively in a multi
- disciplinary team environment and undertake effective problem solving, negotiation and conflict management
- Work independently and under limited direction to meet deadlines and achieve agreed outputs whilst working with demanding and sometimes competing priorities
