We are looking for experienced Duty Manager to join our Front Office team in a full-time capacity.

Reporting to the Front Office Manager, as the Duty Manager, your primary responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Actively resolve guest complaints and challenges
- Lead by example when attending to guest requests; being proactive and resourceful
- Compile and check daily record sheets, guest accounts, receipts and vouchers using Opera Cloud
- Assist food and beverage department during all day services where required
- Assist in replying to guest reviews on OTA and social networks.
- General front office administration duties
- Daily accounting data entry and reconciliation
- Develop and motivate the Front Office team
- Act as a role model for the Front Office team
- Hotel security

To be successful in this role you must have:

- Experience in a similar role within a 4 to 5-star hotel environment
- An approach to guest service that is second to none
- Exceptional customer service skills, communication, presentation and time management skills
- Previous experience with a property management and point of sales system preferably Opera Cloud version and MICROS Symphony.
- A friendly and outgoing personality
- A willingness to use initiative and strong problem solving skills
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of computer literacy and accuracy
- Attention to detail and understanding of basic accounting processes
- A strong background knowledge in both Front Office and Reservations
- Senior First Aid Certificate
- Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
- The availability to work across a rotating roster including weekends, public holidays, early mornings, late evenings, and overnight shifts as required.
