Hays are proud to be partnered with this global organisation that have made their mark in Sea-freight and Air-freight logistics. They are seeking a self-motivated Transport Operator with airfreight experience to join their collaborative team located at Tullamarine.

Your new role

As the Transport Operator for this organisation, you will be responsible for;
- Meet customer delivery expectations on shipments by adhering to department SOPs, milestones and KPI deadlines.
- Maximize profitability for transport jobs, by accurately processing jobs in a timely and cost effective manner. Carry out deliveries in accordance with Management directive, customer instructions and specified requirements.
- Plan and prioritize shipment deliveries from the Transport Workbench in order to achieve milestone requirements, designated KPIs and deadlines.
- Record and verify financial transactions Establish and maintain strong client relationships with companies customers (internal and external), suppliers and service providers.
- Provide accurate information to customers, company management and suppliers.
- Ability to problem solve a range of transport issues such as: documentation, weights and measures in relation to load size, space availability etc; and calculate monetary implications.
- Work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders to create innovative solutions for customers.
- Identify opportunities for improvement.
- Enter data into CW1, accurately and in a timely manner.

What you’ll need to succeed

To be successful in this role as a Transport Operator you will have;
- Preferably 2-3 years' experience in Transport and Freight Forwarding.
- Experience handling LCL, FCL and Airfreight cartage.
- CargowiseOne knowledge essential.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work as a team and autonomously.
- Highly organized and self-motivated.
- Ability to prioritize.
