**Job Description**:
**The role**:
Our Repairs & Maintenance Technician person is responsible for the repairs and maintenance of cleaning equipment and machinery owned by Consolidated Property Services. The role includes a mix of mechanical, electrical, and preventative measures to ensure sites run smoothly and that health, safety and risk measures are met assisting in the longevity of our machinery.

Cleaning machinery includes equipment such as Car Park Sweepers, Gas Buffers, Ride on Scrubbers, Walk Behind Scrubbers, Steam Cleaners, Pressure Washers, Vacuums, etc.

This role is a permanent, full-time position based out of our warehouse in Port Melbourne and will require you to be on the road visiting our sites across the state that need maintenance assistance.

You will be provided a fully maintained van and necessary equipment.

**You will be responsible for these key areas**:
Working closely with the wider Repairs and Operations teams, you will be responsible for planning repairs, maintenance needs and checks, these duties include but are not limited to:
Repair requests:

- Ensure timely response is met
- Documenting repairs
- Ensuring managers are kept up to date with clear communication

Machine servicing:

- Ensuring machines are serviced and checked
- Updating the maintenance schedule

Reporting & Administration
- Sign off and allocate invoices for per site each month
- Update intranet after repair is complete
- Report six monthly lifespan of our machinery
- Ensure Asset Register is maintained
- Report damaged/mis-used equipment to management

Other duties:

- Emergency after hours jobs if needed
- Assist with Test & Tagging
- Assist with staff training on the use of machines as needed
- Ensure selection of suppliers are pre-approved
- Ideally be experienced with cleaning machinery and equipment
- Be competent using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Be a great communicator and have the ability to build strong relationships
- Be organised and have excellent time management skills
- Be willing to learn and help others as directed
- Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment - multitasking and time management will be critical in this role.
