We are seeking highly experienced Law Interpretation Officers to join our Objections and Review branch in our Law Design and Practice area.

Objections and Review provide objective, evidence-based reviews of tax, super and registry decisions, that enhance trust and confidence in the tax system. The Middle Market Objections teams work with a highly diverse population of taxpayers which includes private companies and trusts and their associated entities, high wealth individuals and not for profits. The Large Market Objections teams work with public and multinational businesses in respect to their taxation objections.

You will identify issues, analyse risks and remain informed on relevant facts, circumstances and supporting evidence, including any ATO strategies and risks. You'll take into account commercial drivers, industry practices and the broader environment to make sound, accurate and well-articulated decisions. You’ll also undertake an impartial reconsideration of how the law applies to the clients’ circumstances.

You will collaborate with various stakeholders to resolve complex or strategic issues relating to taxation and administrative laws and policies. You’ll exercise a high degree of independence and, set work priorities and manage workloads in a dynamic environment. You’ll drive innovation to improve our processes, systems and practices.

These roles may be offered on an ongoing or non-ongoing basis in **Box Hill (VIC), Brisbane CBD, Dandenong, Melbourne CBD, Newcastle, Parramatta, Perth, Sydney CBD or Upper Mount Gravatt**.
