Electrical Bim Modeller
**BE OUR NEXT RISING STAR**
With an established reputation for delivering high-quality, world-class projects, the Star Group is a leader in the Australian electrical and data communications industry.
Our growth means that we are seeking a BIM Modeller to join our team and be engaged with the many projects that we are currently across, with an emphasis on collaboration, adaptability, professional excellence and buildability.
**Your New Role**
- Hold a strong familiarity in Revit / BIM processes and using the required software packages.
- Provide leadership of the Revit / BIM process by following the design management plan and associated processes whilst reviewing and ensuring design documentation is accurately generated.
- Provide expertise and guidance to project teams about Revit / BIM requirements and deliverables and ensure they meet project requirements.
- Generate Revit / BIM files and maintain design documentation to ensure that they are accurate and controlled.
- Ensure Revit / BIM process has been defined specifically for the project deliverables in tenders and bids.
- Ensure tender information supports our Revit / BIM expectations and is covered by our design management plan and associated processes.
- Provide input, guidance and assistance on developing processes and strategies for further improvement.
- Assist Project team with all Revit / BIM design documentation requirements to achieve team targets and project deadlines
- Ensure designs are accurate, comply with the project brief/specifications and NCC / Australian Standards and ensure any issues or enquiries are managed effectively.
- Work with project and design team through daily Revit / BIM activities and tasks where required
- Be the first point of contact for design-associated Revit / BIM enquires (coordination, etc.) and troubleshoot issues when required.
- Ensure compliance with the design program(s) in accordance with project delivery requirements and assist with regular reporting and assessment to ensure compliance with budgets, schedules and quality considerations for Revit / BIM. Establish and monitor milestone dates for design decisions, submittals, approvals, and deliverables.
- Provide feedback as to how often Revit / BIM design documentation (during construction, after construction, during the facility life cycle, etc.) will need to be updated.
- Ensure the decision-making process is open, collaborative and timely. The process may result in the development of the shop-drawing level of detail models during the traditional design phases of the project. Make decisions earlier in the process to allow timely completion of design with spatial coordination.
- Be sensitive and work with the project teams to understand milestones for major materials and equipment selections plus manufacturer-specific components and understand that this should occur early in the deliverables schedule.
- Ensure all parties agree in advance on how to handle site changes. Incorporate all site changes into the Revit / BIM model before project completion. Ensure site changes are documented through Revit BIM and identify variations/scope of work changes where possible.
- Ensure design documentation and associated deliverables are tracked and meet requirements.
- Identify conflicts in design documents using required software packages (Revit / BIM).
- Where required, provide the project team with advice and assistance to solve design and coordination conflicts.
- Where required, assist with the completion of reports and data for Revit / BIM designs completed for the project.
- Where required, provide information for the client and project team from existing data and experience from previous design and engineering projects.
- Provide Revit / BIM reports where required.
- Ensure that the project has had Quality Assurance and Quality Control (Design Management Plan) checks to confirm compliance and that all administrative and compliance aspects have been taken into consideration with design.
- Ensure Quality Assurance documentation is accurate and completed in accordance with the Design Management Plan.
