The Theatre Venue Manager is responsible for general operations front of house, to ensure the successful delivery of shows, and events (this may also Include outdoor events), as well as the various tasks required to effect our front of house theatre operations, such as Theatre Bars, Ushers and Stage Door as well as being the liaison with key stakeholders internal and external to Crown.
You will be responsible in providing a high level of customer service in person and over the phone as communication skills, excellent organisational skills and multi-tasking are key requirements of the role.
The position is also responsible for managing the OSH & Compliance requirements and activities for the Entertainment department.
**Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to**:
- Liaise with promoters, clients and key stakeholders for all show and production requirements to ensure FOH aspects of the shows are delivered on time and to budget.
- Preparation and presentation of FOH show estimates identifying labour, power consumptions, venue rental, cleaning, catering and other costs.
- Liaise with promoters for all merchandise requirements for shows. This includes organising merchandise sellers, signage requirements, delivery of stock and storage of stock.
- Manage FOH bump in and bump out requirements of shows, coordinating services, personnel, and overseeing operations.
- Reporting on a regular basis for management - this includes performance event report, theatre revenue report, POS reporting, financial reporting and weekly operational reports.
- Provide budget estimates for shows as required.
- Provide and maintain a work environment for all employees, contractors and visitors that is safe, tidy, and secure and ensuring all licenses, safe work tickets, approvals, checklists are confirmed, up to date and in place for all touring shows/performers/contractors. Training and developing team members in their roles.
**To be successful, you will need to demonstrate the following**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Venue Management/Event Management or equivalent
- 5 years senior event management or venue management experience with an emphasis on theatre and/or entertainment industry.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in administrative functions including rostering, documentation and budgeting.
- Solid Event Management experience, being involved in event planning, managing & implementation.
- Excellent communication skills - Regular communication internal & external key stakeholders
- Broad industry experience and networking.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge and commitment to Occupational Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity and Ethical practice.
