About the role
The purpose of this role is to provide the highest practical standards of general medical services for the patients of the West Moreton Hospital and Health Service.
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Staff Specialist in General Medicine (with or without another sub-speciality) who will be working alongside a relatively young team of specialist physicians including but not limited to Acute Medicine, Acute Stroke, General Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Rehabilitation Medicine, Oncology, Palliative Care, Respiratory Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Rheumatology, Endocrinology, Obstetric Medicine and Cardiology.

About you
- Commitment to the principles of quality in health care including leading initiatives relating to quality improvement, research, risk management, service evaluation and strategic service delivery planning.
- Extensive clinical experience with appropriate knowledge and skills extending across the range of Medical disciplines, with an ability to deliver quality speciality care to patients in a clinical setting including directing the process of assessment, admission, ongoing care, transfer and discharge of patients.
- Contribute to the establishment and fostering of relationships within the medical specialities of the Division of Medicine, between the Department and other Hospital and Health Service departments and services to ensure the continuum of care for the patient.
- Commitment to leading the performance, development and evaluation of the education programme for clinicians at an undergraduate and post graduate level
- Applied sound business management skills to plan the financial function of the service.
- Enables collaboration and enhances connectivity in the provision of a Medical Service within a multi-disciplinary team by demonstrating effective communication and promoting understanding, respect and trust between different groups and profession.

- Vaccinated against, and remain vaccinated against, certain vaccine preventable diseases (VPD) as outlined in the Health Employment Directive NO. 01/16
