**About the role**

At Origin, we’re in the process of transforming the way we serve our customers to make sure we’re providing outrageously good experiences for both our customers and our staff. You will be joining Origin at a critical time as we start to ramp up the numbers of customers serviced by the new Kraken platform, we’re building in collaboration with Octopus Energy.

Reporting to the Delivery & Analysis Lead, as Quality Analyst, you’ll be responsible for testing features in Retail X platforms (including Kraken) to ensure high quality of the delivered solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

- Perform end to end testing (manual) related to Billing and Payments journeys and processes
- Create testing scenarios for developers to automate
- Work closely with a BA to specify acceptance criteria, test scenarios and test cases
- Work with delivery teams to understand requirements & acceptance criteria for user stories (including kick-off & walkthrough)
- Participate in delivery ceremonies (cycle planning, stand ups, grooming, kick-off, walkthrough, showcases & retrospectives).
- Configure, create and manage test data

**About you**

Working across different teams and stakeholders, your strong written and verbal communication skills coupled with your ability to build strong working relationships will see you succeed in this role. You will bring a can do attitude and have the ability to work with a sense of urgency, while paying close attention to the detail.

More about you
- In-depth understanding and experience of Billing and Payments domains and processes at Origin (and energy industry)
- Software testing experience including creating test cases, executing, raising defects & reporting on progress
- Ability to use programs such as Asana, Confluence & Slack (or an ability to learn quickly)
