- Salary Package: From $84,437 to $113,697 per annum (Level A) plus 17% superannuation and annual leave loading.
- Location: Based at Wallumattagal campus, North Ryde

About You

Your work will involve:
- Conducting qualitative analysis of online and traditional media,- Examining how ideas gain public support through case studies of successful influence operations,- Collecting and analysing data, including visual analysis,- Leading or contributing to research reports and academic publications,- Assisting in supervising PhD and MRes students, and- Supporting the technical aspects of the research projects.

Essential Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A PhD (or near completion) in International Security Studies, Media Studies, Cyber Security Studies, or a related field- Demonstrated experience in empirical research on online extremism and/or disinformation- Fluent proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia- Strong motivation for interdisciplinary research- A willingness to acquire new and diverse skills- Experience in independent and team-based research- Demonstrated ability to publish in academic and professional settings and contribute to grant writing- Excellent English communication skills (written and oral)

Desirable selection criteria:
- Technical expertise in web scraping, data management, and data visualisation
