**About the Role**

The Road Safety Partnerships Lead will work with Local Government, non-government organisations, DTP and State government and the community to activate them and support their participation and engagement in road safety matters.
As part of a statewide team, this role is responsible for building effective relationships with key stakeholders across government at a state and local level and non-government sectors to support the objective of Victoria’s Road Safety Strategy. Operating on an outreach basis, the Road Safety Partnerships Lead will actively engage with stakeholders and community at the local level to understand their perspective, opportunities and challenges and to present on current Road Safety initiatives.
The role will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating initiatives, programs and projects and ensuring that processes to manage, monitor and assess these are in place for effective delivery, monitoring and evaluation. Working with the Policy teams within RSV the role will also facilitate input from the community on new or emerging policy challenges and opportunities, whilst feeding intelligence and stakeholder and community needs to inform RSV’s future work.

Additionally, you should demonstrate expertise in project delivery by defining tasks, guiding team members, and ensuring progress aligns with plans. Your ability to influence and persuade is crucial, gaining agreement to proposals and ideas, while also fostering support behind the scenes and leveraging indirect influence channels. Stakeholder management is key, identifying common issues to build partnerships and responding to underlying needs. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are vital for considering the wider business context, identifying recurring issues, and delivering effective solutions. Understanding the political and organisational context is essential, comprehending organizational pressures and climate to navigate successfully.
