**YOUR OPPORTUNITY**

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced **Purchasing Team Leader **to join our high performing team based out of our **Carole Park **office. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of purchasing officers to ensure timely availability of inventory, DIFOT reduction, and reduced SLOB stock exposure.

The team will be responsible for completing tasks such as replenishment process, stock availability, accurately managing supplier data and records, and ensuring purchase orders are aligned to inventory records.

Your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Lead by example aligning management style to Blackwoods Behaviours: Customer First, Boldness, Accountability, Integrity, and Openness
- Proactively engage resources and inspire cross-functional collaboration as appropriate to achieve daily/weekly/monthly targets
- Manage high performance team’s development clearly identifying performance targets and opportunities for career development and succession planning. Annually review and rate employee performance
- Manage the induction for all new employees, ensuring that all WIS induction processes are followed and that new starters are provided with ongoing support and training
- Manage poor performing employees using a formal process to identify areas of difficulty
- Clearly define expected performance and or expected behaviour, provide support and opportunities for improvement, and ensure timely reviews of performance
- Identify employees training needs and provide or arrange the provision of training in the required areas
- Proactively engage and communicate with cross functional stakeholders in all inventory matters
- Time management skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Highly developed communication skills

To be successful, you will have:

- Previous experience with managing strategic client & customer relationships to maintain customer satisfaction
- Working/post graduate experience 3-5yrs
- Tertiary - Diploma (desirable)
- Data analytics qualifications (desirable)
- Planning skills
- Microsoft Excel and Access (Advanced)
- Data analytics
- GAINS (desirable)
- Detailed knowledge of inventory systems and replenishment methodologies
- Leadership and inspiring commitment from others
- KPI management experience
- Vendor Communication and negotiation skills
