Supply & Demand Planner

Reporting to the National Planning & Procurement Manager you will be responsible for forecasting and managing the imports of our dry goods portfolio from our 60+ suppliers across Europe, UK, USA & Asia.

**Description**:
**Key Requirements**:
Ensure monthly and weekly forecasts are accurate for procurement
Work closely with our partners to optimise planning and forecasting
Improve accuracy of purchase plans and receipting of stock
Prepare regular reports for current vs forecasted sales
Ensure purchase orders are created and suppliers notified of plans and strategies
Liaise with internal stakeholders to manage stock levels whilst minimising and mitigating wastage
Manage shelf life of product requirements, while maintaining consistent stock on hand.
Analyse stock, stock-in-transit, actual and forecasted sales reports.
Ensure all pre-requisites for Purchase Order creation are compliant, completed and aligned to company standards and procedures.
Engage with key stakeholders to establish forecasts, create, release and confirm purchase orders.
Manage all aspects of purchase orders including following up, actioning and communicating requests for changes etc.
Action all exception messages to align demand and supply in order to ensure products are delivered on time;
Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve issues including but not limited to pricing and delivery discrepancies.
Support M3 Data and DMP Data change requests related to Procurement;
Support category department in data creation of new items & NPD as and when required

**Skills and Experiences**:

- Tertiary degree in Procurement & Supply, Supply Chain/Logistics (or similar)
- Proven experience in a Planning or Procurement role.
- Experience developing, maintaining & reporting a Supply & Demand Plan.
- Understanding and focus on integrity and data management
- Experience working in food or perishable goods or a similar industry
- Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and knowledge of systems. Including DMP, M3 and Qlikview (or similar)
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and outlook).
- Excellent communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
- Strong numerical skills, with the ability to understand data and to interpret it in a lateral manner.
- A pragmatic person, capable of interacting successfully various stakeholders.
