Trades Assistant - Cherry Creek

**Ventia** have been engaged by the **DJCS (Department of Justice and Community Safety)** to provide integrated Facility Management services incorporating planned, preventive, and reactive maintenance services, ad hoc services, and soft services including cleaning, ground, pest, and waste streams.- The **Trades Assistant** will play a key role in the team and operate across the **Little River (Cherry Creek)** facility for planned, reactive, remedial and ad-hoc maintenance activities across the sites.- Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Participate in a multiskilled team for delivery of high quality facility management and maintenance services
- Complete planned maintenance activities across multiple assets associated with large facilities
- Complete reactive maintenance activities across the sites in line with completion timeframes
- Assist Electricians, Plumbers, Carpenters, Painters or other Trade qualified employees with completing time critical maintenance, repairs, or minor projects
- Work order management for all works completed within required timeframes
- High standards across compliance and driving safety, health, environment, and quality in your work.

**About You**:

- You will have experience as a Trades Assistant within large facilities ideally working in a time critical environment with a focus on planned and reactive maintenance.
- You will also possess:
- Demonstrated experience in time critical rectification and reporting
- Capability in maintaining scheduled work plans
- Competence in a team environment
- Desire to learn and complete minor training packages as needed
- A current unrestricted drivers’ licence
- Be able to complete and pass a National Police Check and Medical
- Be able to evidence full covid vaccinations
