**A brilliant opportunity for a commercial, trend-driven Junior Category Manager has arisen in our client's team This role will look after the high-performing Consumer Electronics category, driving growth, profitability and innovation, and ensuring the customer always has in-demand and on-trend products in the market.**

Reporting to the Head of Consumer Electronics, this role will take ownership of a high visibility category, focusing on optimising the range and continuing to look for new opportunities in a pure-play online retail setting.

If you’re an ambitious, driven Assistant or Junior Category Manager / Buyer and are looking to step up and challenge yourself, or have a couple of years in a similar role but are looking to challenge yourself with a different category and product experience; this is a brilliant opportunity to utilise your Buying expertise.

**In this role you'll be responsible for areas including, but not limited to**:

- Identifying commercial opportunities for category expansion including sourcing and developing new products
- Engaging and sourcing key suppliers
- Managing and engaging with key stakeholders, internally and externally, to build effective working relationships and achieve outcomes
- Ensuring the most efficient logistics, warehousing and shipping options are chosen for each product
- Maximising profitability of all products, through a depth of understanding of your category and the market
- Actively negotiating the best possible trading terms and prices
- Drive and control price changes across our different sales channels, and contribute towards pricing reviews when required

**To be successful in this role, you should be**:

- University Degree qualified in a relevant field (Commerce, Business or similar)
- Experienced as a Category Buyer, preferably within an eCommerce, Retail or FMCG environment.
- Comfortable building and maintaining effective relationships, through exceptional communication and engagement
- Highly analytical and possess commercial aptitude
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- A whiz with Microsoft Excel (we’re talking VLOOKUP and pivot tables).
- Tech savvy and able to use various IT and cloud-based tools to improve efficiency and productivity
- Ready to challenge, be challenged, and work within a highly disruptive business model
